A most recent statistics of this year 2024 has brought to light that an estimated global military expenditure at almost 2445 trillion dollars, a record level increase since 2008. Further, it found that the combined revenues of the top 100 largest defense companies totaled close to 600 billion dollars in 2022, with the five largest companies by revenue being Lockhead Martin, RTX (formerly known as Raytheon Technologies Corp), Northrop Grumman, Boeing and General Dynamics. Their data further also showed that just between 2019 and 2023, the five largest arms exporting nations were the United States, Russia, China, France and Germany and UK that (together) could have supplied approximately 75% of the world's arms exports during this period.

These countries happen to be also the permanent members of the United Nations Peace Security Council.

Such is the hypocritical and immoral state of the very organisations that which were initially founded on the premise to protect and prevent wars.

So, who really are the war mafias here then?  Those who are invested in producing weapons, those who have failed to find diplomatic peaceful solutions or the ones who are in the battlefield with weapons?
