The Middle East as we reckon today, waa once the heart of early human civilisations - Persia, Mesopotamia and the Levant. These lands have witnessed the human society scale from small tribes to empires, laws, writings to global trade.
In fact, this is holy lands where the primary site of major religions once emerged and spread across the globe.
And still centuries later, this very region stands overshadowed with smokes, fury and turmoil.
The lives of Abraham, Moses, and Prophet Muhammad were centered around key geographical areas of the Middle East, primarily in the Levant, the Nile Valley, and the Arabian Peninsula.
Prophet Zarathustra founded Zoroastrianism in ancient Persia, today’s modern Iran.
Most of Jesus Christ’s life transversed around the Levant valley, our modern day Israel, Palestine and Jordan.
These are prophets and holy men who are revered and worshiped by approximately about 4 to 5 billions followers across the world. But alas, all the faith and devotion of all these billions could not stop the ego, greed and arrogance of few men, who brought upon constant invasion and crusades to this very spiritually significant lands.
But the recent conquest and coup on Iran has opened a Pandora’s box of a new kind.
This war has not only exposed the self-centred reality of ‘developed’ nations, but also spilled out its absolute negligence in carrying out the international duties towards the gulf crisis. In short, the viscous ‘duality’ of the western nations and their superficial international politics just got more pronounced and unveiled.
This means that even if the current US Israel Iran war ends, the world and its governments have a lot to introspect.
The so called ‘developed’ western nations have the liability to respond ‘in kind’ to about half a billion people now, to awaken their rusted humaneness.
It is an urgent call to recognise the volatile and sensitive environment of millions living in these countries.
It is a call to take collective action to improve the lives and livelihoods of those affected by political, religious and social unrest since decades.
It is a call to finally exhibit a transparent execution of the international laws that which were established to protect human rights, life, liberty and dignity equally worldwide.
It is a call to reinstate Peace, Security and Liberty gradually in this region so that this very stability and peace can rebuild bridges between neighbouring nations and the rest of the world.
