Eye-level view of a serene woman meditating in nature

As a mother, when I look at the possible outcomes of our future generations through the eyes of our teen boys, my mind goes both blank and numb lately.

We bring these children into this world with so many aspirations and a determination of raising them with kindness, care and responsibility. We work hard today, each day, for their better tomorrow.

But the world around us, just like the staggering prices, seems to becoming rather more challenging to sustain goodness in both economy and human Spirit.

When I compare my own life growing up in a humble, secured and a secular environment and people still being people, today’s world seems like a clouded matrix.

This is a generation that which is neither born and nor meant to be segregated by societal norms, prejudice, rituals, racism, borders, wars, geopolitics or a divided society.  And yet, ironically, they are living in a world infused with the very same poisons of human vices feuded with ego and violence, continuously.

What this generation urgently needs is education and training on living in minimalism, self reliance, forbearance and collective responsibility in addition to sustain their humaneness.

But, we cannot depend on our chosen leaders, governments, schools and institutions to make them soldiers of world peace.  This task requires each of us, who is a parent, an uncle, an aunt, grandparent, a teacher and a genuine friend or mentor to train our children and all who those who come into our radius to be trained in wisdom, compassion, kindness and most importantly the ability to respect: to respect the creation and its boundaries.

For where Respect is adhered, Love and Harmony follow, this opening a new path  that which is constructive, resolute and that which works to sustain and preserve the work of Creation.
